In the list of downloaded & installed updates are Internet9 pt PT Language Pack, TW, CN, FR,& ES Language packs. As I am only using English on my laptop would it be okay to un-installed these Language Packs.

Thanks for any ideas.

Yep, you sure can.

With IE, one needs to manually add languages through the Internet Options menu, so it's not like IE will be searching for these languages.
