I received "Threat requiring manual removal detected: System Infected: Tidserv Activity 2." from my Norton Security Suite (Comcast supplied)
1) I ran the Backdoor.Tidserv Removal Tool as suggested by Norton message. It claims no virus found, but Warning reappears.
2) I contacted Norton Support and the Tech tried a remotely run scan. The system locked during reboot and stays in the restart loop, never actually loading windows.
3) I contacted a different Norton Support Tech who claimed they are having a "problem". They suggested that I call my computer mfgr. GRRRRRRRRR....
Any suggestions about how to get this problem fixed, namely get threat warng off screen and clear machine if virus is there.
