laptop power problem

iam trying to determine if my motherboard is at fault
when i press power on my laptop does not turn on and no light is shown .
when i plug on the charger the charger light on my laptop blinks once then nothing , any ideas anyone???? :huh:

Nobody can help with that information you have given.

At a minimum you need to tell the make and model.

Also whether or not you have tried a different AC adapter. If you are using a cheap e-bay oe generic adapter that mat be the problem too.
