I was doing some reading about malware removal & etc from this website MaximumPC and they had suggested that I install combofix as a must have so to speak... this is the link to the exact article My link

Long story short I downloaded combofix without fully understanding the process, so now after my system did a reboot Im unable to double click on any of my desktop short cuts to run my programs. I get the following msg ---> C:\Program Files(x86)\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe Illegal operation attempted on registry key that has been marked for deletion where Im unable to open the progran. Then once I click on the close button to close that information box another one pops up stating that I cannot open this item, that it might be removed, deleted, or renamed. Do I want to delete this item yes or no? I click no just to close the box.

Im wondering if I restore my system computer to the time before this download then uninstall combofix will that fix this issue where I'll be able to run my programs normally?
