Hello and welcome to the forum. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, I will see what I can do. This is a nasty infection and it will take some work. Since I do not see some of the normal markers for this infection I will use a slightly different fix. We may have to run the more complex fix later, we will see. Let me start you off with this information: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/viewtopic.php?t=12155 concerning a class action suit you may be able to get involved in against the purveyors of this garbage.

Thanks to Atribune, Trevuren and any others who helped with this fix, you can be successful if you will follow the directions carefully.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad . Make sure to work through the steps in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fix.
  • Download DSRFIX©Atribune from HERE onto your Desktop.
    • Unzip and EXTRACT the files to your Desktop.
    • The program creates and names the new folder to house the files.
    • DO NOT RUN IT YET
  • Download Cleanup from Here (Alternate site if the above is not working Go Here)
    • A window will open and choose SAVE, then DESKTOP as the destination.
    • On your Desktop, click on Cleanup40.exe icon.
    • Then, click RUN and place a checkmark beside "I Agree"
    • Then click NEXT followed by START and OK.
    • A window will appear with many choices, keep all the defaults as set when the Slide Bar to the left is set to Standard Quality.
    • Click OK
    • DO NOT RUN IT YET
  • CLOSE INTERNET EXPLORER, if it is open
  • Open the folder dsrfix
    • Double click on the dsrfix batch file( the one with the little gear in it )
    • Once dsrfix has completed it will close on its own
  • Please restart HJT, put a checkmark next to the following items, and with all windows closed except for HJT, click “Fix Checked” and EXIT the program.

  • Run Cleanup
    • Click on the "Cleanup" button and let it run.
    • Once its done, close the program.
  • REBOOT your system.
  • Please restart HJT and post back a fresh HJT log for review.
We will, no doubt, have more to do

Thanks...pskelley

I apologize as I did not get this notifications, looking over the HJT log now:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 8:33:19 PM, on 2/6/2006

You have done a superb job of following some complex instructions  This log is , the 016 I can't identify and you should remove it if you do not know it:

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00F1D395-4744-40f0-A611-980F61AE2C59} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {8D95D14D-4AFB-4885-8BF1-FB09FD72FCD2} (eBLVD ActiveX Control) - https://www.eblvd.com/control/launcher/3.2/ebie.cab

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Since the log is clean, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

System Restore does not know good from bad, it backs up everything. In case some of the infection got into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, restart your computer and turn it back on.

I apologize again for the delay getting back to you, if all is running well, safe surfing...Phil

Thanks...pskelley

Thanks so much! One question. Are you saying you don't know what the O16 edie.cab reference is or another O16 reference in my log? I removed the O16 and O2 references that you listed. Just wanted to make sure I didn't need to remove another O16 that is in my log. I will check out the other references you have on how to stay clean. I really appreciate your advice and time you have spent on this.

016 DPF (ActiveX pluggins) can be removed anytime you wish and the next time you visit the site you will be prompted to download them again if needed to run the program. In the event the one above was malware, I wanted it gone, but wanted you to have the option of leaving it if you were using it and knew it. I hope this helps. If all is running well, safe surfing to you and do be careful. It is a cyber-jungle out there.

Thanks...Phil
