Here's my last 3 bsod dumps they are identical as far as I can see though. Recently I have installed a new samsung blu-ray optical drive and a samsung hard drive, could this be related? Is there any other info I should be including to help track this problem down? Thanks.

To get a more complete picture, let's try this.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

Go to the Nvidia website and download and install the latest driver for your Nvidia card. Let's start there.

ok have done that so will see if it reappears. If it's of any use it usually seems to happen very soon after waking the computer from sleep mode. However on the occasions I remember it happening I had been watching a blu-ray through cyberlink powerdvd 9 and had just paused it then put the computer in to sleep mode.

Unfortunately that hasn't cured it. However when I put the computer in to sleep mode this time I made sure I had closed powerdvd so it could be ruled out as a cause. So seems to just be whenever waking the comp up from sleep mode it runs fine for about 10 secs then freezes then goes to bsod about 3 mins later. Heres the latest dump.

1) Try not to use sleep and see if that helps. Instead, set the hd and display to power down after a defined period of inactivity.

2) Open device manager - any yellow or red symbols?

Everything seems fine when I don't use sleep but I used to use it all the time so there must be something that has changed recently to cause this.

I have 1 yellow symbol for a network adapter called teredo tunneling pseudo-interface saying code 10 this device cannot start.

You can live with that - it's not the cause of your problems.

I suggest you simply do as I suggested and not use sleep. I know it's a work around, but if it works........
