Pop Ups At The Top Of Internet Explorer When I Open It....windows Xp Pro

Hi there...i think im infected by something on my computer. Everytime I open IE (Internet Explorer) theres some kind of ad/banner of somesort. Its not that anoying...but along with that i get 4 or 5 pop up ads a minute...i have a pop up blocker so dont say that...so what can i do ? Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated! i have a Hijack file but should i post it here?
