Hi everyone

I wanted to post into this topic: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic398441.html/page__st__45 but it appears to be locked. The problem I have was described by Shaker in the topic above...

I've had the System Fix virus, then I completed all the steps from the Remove System Fix (Uninstall Guide) from the Safe Mode. And here I am, having my computer even slower, being unable to connect to the Internet when starting Windows normally and being unable to view the files and folders (Unhide.exe doesn't seem to help).

I tried running the SystemLook, just as Broni recommended in the topic I've mentioned, but that's all I get in my log:

SystemLook 30.07.11 by jpshortstuff

Administrator - Elevation successful

========== dir ==========

C:\Users\GRISHA~1.GRI\AppData\Local\Temp\smtmp - Unable to find folder.

Can someone, please, help me! I can't simply install a new OS, I need to have the videos I've shot for my husband's anniversary back ;(.

ok, I've tried the normal mode once again and the virus was still there. I restored the system, and now it looks like everything's fine except for the hidden folders. Unhide.exe still does not seem to be working, however.

ehh no, the virus is still there, it's not letting me download RKill in the Normal mode.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
