I have spent the last few days trying to rid my wife's computer of a Rootkit that is hooking 4 processes:
ZWOpenProcess, ZWTerminateProcess, ZWtewrminateThreadm and ZWWriteVirtualMemory; all hooked by C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\AVGIDSShim.sys.

How can I remove this annoyance? I had AVG - removed, had Adaware - removed, now have Microsoft Security Essentials and Spybots Search & Destroy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
