Hi all
I have just installed the latest ZAPro update, and I get red warnings that I have no antivirus running. AVG is running perfectly normally. The warning page has links to the ZA + Antivirus package - is this just a marketing ploy to get me to upgrade?

Anyone else had this problem?

I am having the same problem. Pretty scummy if it is a marketing ploy.

Thanks Grinler. I just had a browse round the ZA users' forum - not very encouraging! There are many reported conflicts and problems being aired there. It seems Macafee doesn't work with ZA version 5.0, and lots of folks have different problems, although I didn't find any reference to AVG on my brief visit.
I'lll be interested to hear what ZA have to say to you!

Well I think all AVG users who use ZoneAlarm Pro may not like this answer I received from Zone Alarm tech support:

----------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
----------------------------------------------------

Hello,

Zone Alarm only detects some of the more mainstream antivirus
programs out there. AVG is not one of them, please ignore the message.

Thank you,

Reading around in other forums, and especially the ZA users' forum, it seems that the AVG problem is only the tip of the iceberg. I can look forward to crashes, slow loading, conflicts with anti-syware and all sorts of other issues. I will not be paying again!

Thanks for looking into it!

Early Wed Morn ZA poped the upgrade window. I d/l, unzipped, installed as upgrade over the previous. Running AVG. No problems here.
