Hello, I would appreciate some help with my mouse.

It is an IntelliMouse that needs to be plugged in via USB. I've used it on my laptop and it's worked fine until now.

I unplugged it and brought just my laptop somewhere, and plugged it in again when I came back, but it doesn't work now. I did a system restore while I was away, maybe that's why?

the funny thing is the left click, right click, and scrolling work--but when I move the mouse around, the cursor on my screen won't move so I've been using the mouse board on my laptop...could anyone help me make the cursor move again? thanks

Try the mouse on another computer. The mouse could have gone bad.

Hi rotor123,

Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty, (Robert Burns)

I fear your mouse has passed on, is deceased, is knackered. However, the simplest solution is to try another mouse. If it is any help, and if you are in the UK, TESCO were selling a USB mouse a couple of weeks ago for something like 2.99. The last time i had a mouse die, the cursor would move up and down the screen, but not sideways. Best wishes.

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !
