Change OS to W7?

I am upgrading a Dell 5150 Pentium D to 4GB of RAM and a Radeon 6850 this week. Does it make any sense for me to consider upgrading the OS to Windows 7?

First, you can't upgrade from XP to W7. You would have to format and install from scratch. Second, you can use these links to decide if you want to do it:

No problem reformatting since it was reformatted with XP within the last few weeks. I'll check out the upgrade advisor. Thanks
