Earlier today I got a normal fake security virus (Win 7 Security 2012). I've gotten then once or twice before and know they're kind of easy to get rid of. Before I could do this myself, my AVG popped up saying that it would delete the virus. I clicked "ok" and after a second the virus was gone...and now it seems like most of my programs are too. Everytime i try opening any program, it says its ".exe" is missing and then gives me the options of opening it with Internet Explorer, Notepad, Microsoft Word. When I try to open some files (ex: a notepad document, in notepad) it works fine and is accessible but nothing else works. Not chrome, not mozilla, not Word when i try to open it on its own, nada. I thought running the progam in Safe Mode w/ Networking would help, but nothing changes. So...any help would be very appreciated. Computer specs: Dell Studio 15 running Windows 7

Thanks in advance!
