I have the newest NOD32 and I get every update, but I seem to get viruses like every other week when I don't really do anything or go on any suspicious sites. Does NOD32 suck at protecting my computer? I thought it was on of the best antivirus programs... What is it there for if I keep getting viruses?

Take a look here: Answers to common security questions: Prevention & Choosing an Anti-virus or Firewall

An anti-virus is only one small part of keeping yourself secure. And yes NOD32 is one of the best. But you need to use a 'layered approach' to further protect yourself. The above link goes into much more detail.

In the link provided by Animal, be sure to read How Malware Spreads - How did I get infected which explains the most common ways malware is contracted and spread.
