I was recently infected with Win32/Ramnit. As were given instructions by a forum member, I attempted to scan my PC with Combofix but the result has been this:

Malware topic is here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic426661.html In a nutshell, disinfecting the computer is not possible. ~ OB

Scanning for infected files...
This typically doesn't take more than 10 minutes
However, scan times for badly infected machines may easily double'

Combofix will stay at the screen for over 2 hours, and remains in that state anytime I execute it.

When I attempt to download and run Malwarebytes, the program doesn't even run at all. I get the cursor and the hourglass icon and before soon it extinguishes, that's all.

I was told to reformat and reinstall Windows XP, that's an option, but my computer never came with installation disks, and the manufacturer does not support the model of my PC anymore. Is there an alternate solution?
*I'm able to use the computer normally, with the exception that I have to run rkill with every startup, the security of my computer might be compromised and a Ramnit infection is hiding inside my PC.

I have only had success with these scanners:
OTL
TFC
Spybot search and destroy
Hijecak this
GMER
SystemLook
DeFogger
aswMBR
Fixme

Unsuccessful:
MBAM
Combofix
