For some reason the sound on my computer is missing part of the "tracks". When I play anything, from system to games, to videos, to cd's, the voice part of all sound is VERY quiet. The music is normal but it will block out all the voice overs no matter what. I am figuring it is a software problem because it does not matter what the input type or source is.

I have tried to check all of the volume stuff, I have changed speakers, and tried to make sure that nothing is muted or that there are no "weird" accustic setting but nothing has helped. Any ideas?

Could this be due to the speaker jacks? On my son's system there are 2 speaker jacks - a powered one and an unpowered one (it's an older HP). Similar problems happen when connecting an unpowered set of speakers to a jack that requires powered speakers.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
