I have symptoms matching System Fix. Numerous disk error messages (e.g. - Hard drive clusters are partly damaged; Segment load failure; Delayed write failed; Failed to save all components of the file \\system32\\00003acb; etc.). Also, "RAM memory reliability is extremely low. This problem may cause system failure." A System Fix dialog directs me to a place where I can download a bogus remedy for $80. There are numerous error messages displayed at once, filling up my screen. This makes it impossible to use the internet, even to complete the preparation steps suggested on this site, such as downloading the diagnostic logger. Not sure where to start on this. Can you help?

Hello, Welcome to BleepingComputer.
I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.

Your infection can be removed by following the following instructions.

Follow the Automated Removal Instructions for System Fix using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:
If at any time you need additional help please ask.

When you can please post the latest Malwarebyte log.

Include also the result of this scan.

Please download and run this DDS Scanning Tool. Nothing will be deleted. It will just give me some additional information about your system.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please just paste the contents of the DDS.txt log in your next post. DO NOT attach the log.
