hi all i reposted because i forgot to put in the title discription hijack this log sorry please delete the other post i made thanks i had a problem the other day after cleaning my cp i lost my network connections so i tried a restore did not work but i got it up again after calling my internet providers but i lost my virus protection so i reinstalled it . its mcafee free with comcast high speed internet i ran into a problem it would install and it works but the security center has active shield it would not work so i uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times even contacted thier support via chat they sent me a link to install and said it should take care of my problem it did not but what was wierd is that i would get a pop up window from macafee that said there is a file on my cp that i should get rid of and said that i should run my virus scan i did all of that and nothing came up as far as a virus is concerned so i ran ad-aware se and nothing major came from that except some pul or pup's from game spy and my battlefield 2 game i haft to have them or i cannot play the games so i cannot delete them i ran the stinger too and nothing there this is what comes up when my cp is done loading "an error occured while intializing activeshield method:comc app factory ::register result ox80004015 now i know you probably do not know what it means since it has to do with mcafee but i just wanted to include everything i also did a disk clean up heres the log file from stinger "Scan initiated on Tue Jan 31 20:22:43 2006

Go to the link below and download the trial version of SpySweeper:

SpySweeper http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/s...&rc=4129&ac=tsg

* Click the Free Trial link under "SpySweeper" to download the program.
* Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open.
* It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
* Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side.
* Click the Sweep Options tab.
* Under What to Sweep please put a check next to the following:
o Sweep Memory
o Sweep Registry
o Sweep Cookies
o Sweep All User Accounts
o Enable Direct Disk Sweeping
o Sweep Contents of Compressed Files
o Sweep for Rootkits

o Please UNCHECK Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.

* Click Sweep Now on the left side.
* Click the Start button.
* When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
* Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
* It will remove all of the items found.
* Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
* Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
* Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply.
Also post a new Hijack This log.

Log looks fine but that spysweeper run tells me you need to do

START - RUN - chkdsk /f (Say yes to the run on reboot)
"Nothing could be finer than to be in South Carolina ............"
