hi
i had assembled my pc 3 years ago. It has ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS motherboard, AMD SEMPRON 2.7 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 160 GB Harddisk and i use WINDOWS XP SP2.

Since 6 months my windows xp keeps getting corrupted after every 4-5 days. Sometimes it shows a blue screen with error msg while starting xp and the pc restarts. I cant read the error msg since it just stays for 1 second and the pc restarts.

Other times it says that
THE FOLLOWING FILE IS CORRUOPT OR MISSING

WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM

I have avg antivirus and have also used malwarebytes...

But then also i have the above problems!!!
Plz help...

Welcome aboard Posted Image

Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file)
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Hi Broni. . .
Thanks for the reply.

I had reinstalled my XP SP2 yesterday. Now whenever I start my xp and open any file my pc gets hanged.

I tried ur bluescreenview but it showed no results. Both the upper and lower pane remain empty.
What do you suggest???

Was it clean installation including hard drive formatting?

I just formatted only the C drive with a quick format.

While the files were being copied it took long time to copy some files while the rest others were copied pretty fast.

And i would also like to tell you that whenever i install xp it takes a long time to copy the drivers.cab file

Do you think there is a relation of my xp getting corrupt due to this drivers.cab file????

Since we're not dealing with any infection at this moment I suggest you create new topic in Windows forum.
You may be dealing with some hardware problem (hard drive) or bad (scratched?) Windows disk.
