I have a linksys wireless adapter 24g. It is installed on an older Dell computer using Windows XP HOme, I connected the adapter and used the cd that came with the hardware to install it. It tells me that it can connect to the host but cant connect to the internet. There seems to be a problem with acquiring a network address. I tried uninstalling the adapter and software, in order to reinstall it but the Add/Remove Program feature won't uninstall it. So now I have another problem in that I can't uninstall it. Any suggestions or solutions?

Is this a USB wireless adapter or PCI? What is the complete model of the device?
