disk usage

I often have to reboot my laptop after starting up as it often runs very, very slowly or freezes. Sometimes shutting down AND powering off fixes this. Clues are "Windows explorer is running but not responding", "Internet explorer is not responding" and the one I suspect causing the trouble is an error message saying that high disk usage is occuring by "Rapportmgmnt service.exe" I have found out that this is a scurity item presumably installed by my bank. Shouldn't have this effect though, should it?

That file is associated with banking services/verisign. What version of Windows are you using and I will transfer this topic to that forum.
