Hi, I have a Dell Demension 537 desktop running Vista 64 SP2. Installed new Asus cd/dvd drive. Device mgr shows problem with drive. It won't let me update the driver. Says error 39 device not found. How do I get computer to install driver so device can be accessed? Old drive initially worked then did the same thing. That's why I replaced.

MS Fixit, Optical Drives - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116

FWIW: It's generally unnecessary worrying about optical drive drivers...they come with the O/S and are generic in nature.
