Need help with Linux Mint

Need help. Could not repair Linux Mint. Is Corrupted. Locked. Want to remove. Memory use high. Can't get in to repair Linux or use it. Does not recognize my password, but recognizes my user name. Has not chanegd. Typing it excatly as I had before--does not work. Have Linux, Dell, XP on Intel Duo Core on Dell. Latitude D620. Dell has so much that I don't use, but can't remove--no Cd xame with this refurbished laptop. Did disable wireless files until i need them. Thanks for your help. Love and Peace.

Is it giving you any errors? What exactly did you do before this started happening? What version of Linux Mint do you have? What do you mean "could not repair"?
