I'm using Windows Vista and attempting to remove Microsoft Works 8. I have gone to Programs and Features (add/remove programs), found the program, clicked uninstall and it comes up with a box asking what source to use. One goes to the C drive and says Office Trial (when I got the computer it had a trial of Office 2007 so I guess it's this it's linking too though I'm not sure why) and the other says to insert the disk.
I do have the disk, it's in the disk drive, but no matter which I try and use (file path to the C drive folder or the CD) it comes up with the message "the feature you are trying to use is on a network source that is unavailable".
If I click cancel is comes up with the message "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Microsoft Works. The Windows Installer cannot continue."
I tried looking on the disk for an uninstall option and through the C Drive Microsoft Works folder for an uninstall option, but it doesn't exist on either.
I never use Microsoft Works, it's taking up a lot of space and I need it uninstalled. How can I uninstall Microsoft Works 8?
