Hello,

I've some trouble with the Steam Game Overlay.
I've allready contact Steam about it, but I think he's out of options now.
I've this problem now allready for 4 weeks and it's getting really irritated that I can't play any games on Steam anymore.

Things that I've tried, but didn't work.
- Update a new driver.
- Removed scanners (like Norton) and re-installed them.
- I've deleted The Steamapps folder and Steam.exe and restart my computer.
- I've allready checked the box in Steam commuity is enabled in game.
- Updated the newest Adobe Reader Version.
- Shut down the power of the computer for 30 seconds and startup the computer.

Exit Steam entirely.
Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\)
Rename the "steamapps" folder to "old_steamapps"
Re-launch Steam and re-install the game.
Once the installation is complete, test the issue.
If this resolves the issue, you may copy the new files into the "old_steamapps" folder and rename it to "steamapps" to restore your other games without re-downloading.
If the issue is not resolved, you can rename the folder back to avoid having to re-install other games.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).
Delete all of the contents of this folder except:
The Steamapps folder and Steam.exe (If 'exe' is not visible, look for the black and white Steam icon)
Restart your computer.
Then, you will need to launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.
With Steam running, re-test the original issue.
Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

I hope that someone can help me to resolve this issue.

Have you tried disabling the overlay? I don't have Steam in front of me but I remember it being an option.

Yes, I've tried to disable the overlay, but if I disable the overlay then I have completely no overlay anymore.
