I have(had?) two 74GB Raptors striped in my computer for the system disk. About 6 months ago, one failed (I don't think mechanically). Because I needed my computer up and running again quickly, I just reinstalled on the remaining good drive. Now, that one just failed, seemingly the same way. I don't really want to spend too much money and get a new hdd, since it will just turn into me wanting to get a bunch of other new "upgrades". The drive(s) spin up with no sound, just not being recognized by the bios or a diagnostic tool. I think the logic boards might just be shot, is there a magical place online that sells them, even though I don't really have a mainstream drive. I would have to imagine that they're out there somewhere.
Thanks and let me know if you need to know any details about my computer.
