Yeah common problem, bakclight or inverter on my laptop stopped functioning so the display is now dim. First, is there a fix for this that does not involve me needing to buy a new backlight or inverter? I read on a forum this:

" Did it just go all of a sudden? Like someone flipped the switch?
Or was it a slow process with the colours going out of whack and then it went dark?

If it was the first one (remove battery), just pop the bezel off and make sure the all little connectors are in properly and all that kinda stuff. (Mine did this the other day and that's all it was. One connector just wasn't quite in properly. Too easy.)"

CAn someone go to more detail about that I don't quite understand like bezel and all kinda stuff? just more detail please

Is display function for brightness on max.? There are keyboard function keys usually on laptops to adjust this.

Yeah, of course I tried that. It's still dimly lit, I set it to max with my keyboard hotkeys. I use a latitude e6500 btw
