I recently contracted a rootkit virus on my home computer. nasdaq on this site was very helpful in removing it.

Now I have no internet access. When trying to repair the connection it says it can't renew the IP address.

My folders under all programs are back, but they are all empty. I've tried running Malwarebytes, but it says I don't have proper authority.

Nasdaq sent me here.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Let's see, if we can recover your missing features.
Download and run UnHide
Let me know, if it worked.

Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
