This new pc came with Norton installed...... so i uninstalled it and installed McAfee. During the install of McAfee i said that Norton was still installed and did i want McAfee to uninstall it, so i clicked yes. Now when McAfee starts, it says that there is more than one security centre installed and do i want to use McAfee!!!!!!
Ive checked the 'C' drive and the Symantec folders are still there!!! As i've uninstalled Norton ( it no longer shows in the add and remove programs).... is it safe to just delete all the symantec folders on the pc?

What version of NAV did you have? Maybe this will help.

How to Remove Norton Products
Removing NAV 2004 or later using SymNRT
Removing NAV 2003 or earlier using Rnav2003
