Hi Guys, I noticed my computer running painfully slow. It would give me the hourglass for no reason. I have ad-aware se, spybot s&d as well as spyware blaster installed as grinler instructed me to do when I had a problem a couple of months ago. The one thing I know I recently did was install a linksys usb wireless-g adapter and suspect that may have had something to do with it. I guess it could be a coincidence. While installing it I was asked if it was OK to make the registry change and I said yes. Should I always deny these changes? How do I know when to allow them if not?

Ad-aware seems to have taken care of it so far but is has only been a little while since I ran it. Below is two HJT logs. One from before and one from after I ran Ad-aware SE and Spybot S&D. If you guys could look it over and let me know if I need to do anything else I would appreciate it.

TIA

Well the log is definitely clean. I am not really sure what the linksys would have added to the registry but it is not uncommon for software to add that stuff. Unfortunately without a installation tracking program ther eis not way to determine what was added to the registry.

Are you still having problems or all good now?

Thanks Grinler,

It is running fine now after running Ad-Aware, that is why I posted both a before and after HJT log in case maybe you would see what it was. It may have been a coincedence with the the software installation.

The one question I would really like you to answer for me is, When I install new software or hardware that comes with a driver when I get asked to allow the change do I say Yes or Deny Change? I was thinking I have to say yes or anything I install is not going to work properly. Is this true?

Thanks and Take Care Bud

Most of the time you do have to say yes..but if it looks suspicious say no. You can always reinstall it later
