Problem: Programs are loading slowly and running slowly. Again this is all tasks I ask the computer to perform including system checks, and even just typing. When trying to open task manager it does not respond.

Steps taken: Defrag, disk check, cleared temp internet file, deleted cache, and cleared history.

System specs: Gateway gt5670, Vista home premium sp2, amd phenom 8400 triple-core processor 2.10 ghz, ram 3.0 gb.

It will not let me complete a refresh of the sub score and base score for the performance.

Even though it is not just web surfing being slow, for your information, all other devices in my home do connect to the internet fine and my upload/download is 718/1321. Single test.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?
