I was infected by the System Security 2012 malware thing. I managed to eliminate it from my system, I think. However shortly after eradicating the infection, my computer now refuses to boot up in normal mode. It will go through start up but never reach the sign in screen. Instead, it starts the boot up process again. I'm unsure what to do. I don't know if it is a lingering virus or something that I didn't catch, or if something got corrupted. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1.

I suggest you post in the Am I Infected forum and make sure your system is indeed malware free.
