hi all. well i had a hacker on my computer about a week ago, controlling my whole pc infront of my eyes including my cd thing (sorry i dont know the real names of stuff!) . well he was able to put things into my windows files without me knowing and then telling me where to look! (pics etc!) anyway he added me onto aol and has been chatting to me regulary since then and hetoldmemy'doors' were now locked..........but he was able to bring up web pages of pictures from my desktop files while talking to me online!
(i hope that makes sense!)
anyway as you can imagine im getting pretty freaked out by all of this (he has told me he is friendly lol)
and i would like to know how he is getting in and how can i stop it happeneing as i am getting paranoid about using the internet now!
i have downloaded the hijack log thing and heres a copy of the scan....
please can someone help me?
thanks

right! im finally back! ( i bet you were hoping id forgotten! lol)
well ill tell you what ive done in the last week or so and then post my log to see if its looking better!.....
first of all i restored the computer back to 2 weeks before the hacker came on..............
since then when i start the computer, when loading windows a box comes up saying..... c:\windows\system\sservice.exe..cannot find file..make sure all required libraries are available.....so i click ok and another box comes up saying..sservice.exe. ...cannot find file... so i click ok and another box comes up saying......desktop.. cannot run sservice.exe in win.in file .. make sure file exists on computer or remove it.....(but i cant find out where it is!) but when i click ok the desktop loads ok...but now my computer is crashing more then usual and taking longer to connect to the internet (im on dial up)
anyway, so then i did the adaware thing...........its got rid of a lot of viruses but keeps comming up with a list of the same cookies saying it cant delete them and to delete them myself and then do another scan ... but i cant find out where they are! (ive tried scanning about 5 times i think)
next i did the spybot thing and it was clear.
next i did the housecall thingy it kept comming up saying my connection was too slow and crashing my computer...
so next i did the stinger
and finally the firewall (god! a box keeps popping up every second to say its blocked something!)
well i hope this all makes sense! heres my new log........
thanks guys :flowers:

Download Killbox.

Extract killbox.zip to your desktop and then double-click on the Killbox.exe icon.

Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Now copy the next bold part:

C:\WINDOWS\system\sservice.exe
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ESXG\WXQJKG.EXE

Open 'file' in the killboxmenu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines must be there together if the files are present!

Click the button: All Files (!important!)

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be removed on next reboot and asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you don't get that message, reboot manually.

Your computer must reboot now.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
F1 - win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\system\sservice.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Rqtkou] C:\PROGRAM FILES\ESXG\WXQJKG.EXE
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://click.getmirar.com (HKLM)

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\system\sservice.exe
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ESXG\

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log and tell me if your better.

Download RegSrch.zip from here:

http://billsway.com/vbspage/vbsfiles/RegSrch.zip

Unzip it and then double-click on the regsrch.vbs file. When it runs it will prompt you for a string to search for. Enter sservice.exe into that field and press enter.

It will run for a while silently and then create a report. Please paste the contents of that report into a reply to this topic.

*Note: If you have Norton script blocking installed, disable it or allow the script to run or this tool won't work!

Download Silentrunners.zip from:

http://www.silentrunners.org/

Run the SilentRunners.vbs file. If your antivirus has a script blocker, you will get a warning asking if you want to allow SilentRunners.vbs to run. It might say something like "Malicious Script Warning". This script is not malicious so you are safe in allowing it to run. When it asks if you want to skip the supplemental search tests, press the No button.

When it has finished it will produce a Startup Programs text file. Copy and paste that text file here in your next reply.

Click on start, then run, and type notepad c:\windows\system.ini and press enter. Look through the file and you will see a line that looks like:

shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system\sservice.exe

Change it so it reads:

shell=Explorer.exe

Then close the notepad, and when it asks, save it.

Now reboot and that sservice error should be gone.
