Hi, for some reason I can't download game files any more; i click the download link but this box (below) comes up (it never used to) asking my name and password, but when i type them in it doesn't seem to recognise them, and just keeps asking me for them over and over.
I've asked the game company but it's got them beat too, they say "just keep trying", but i've been trying for two days now with no luck.
I'm Win XP Home. Any advice?

To be honest...I have no idea why this box appears at times.

I've seen it a few times...I've downloaded with success from FTP sites without seeing it...maybe someone else has a clue...hang on :).

This does not appear to be an issue specifically for your machine. I was unable to log on to the named FTP server anonymously, which means that anonymous logons are not permitted. If you have a username and password for the website, perhaps those can be used here?

In Internet Explorer, I get precisely the same prompt as you. In a dedicated FTP client, the output was this:

Status:	Resolving address of ftp2.matrixgames.com
Status:	Connecting to
Status:	Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response:	220 Xlight FTP Server 3.6 ready...
Command:	USER anonymous
Response:	331 Anonymous login OK, send your e-mail as password
Command:	PASS **************
Response:	530 Permission denied
Error:	Critical error
Error:	Could not connect to server

perhaps showing this to the company will be helpful?

Thanks guys, i somehow seemed to have muddled through..:)
From what i can work out, the download began in the background, but there was absolutely nothing to indicate a download was in progress until after a while i heard a beep and the icon miraculously appeared on the desktop!
