Hello all this is my first post,
I have a 8gb cruzer flash drive which I have password protected through the U3 launchpad. Over the last week I have been unable to access the protected drive. When I plug it in the U3 launchpad will not auto run (as it used to) and when I try to run it manually it just opens to an empty folder which is in the U3 folder on my C drive.
This flash drive works normally on other computers but not any more on my Dell Latitude E6400. The USB ports are working as other drives work and I can see the 2 drives (F and G) when this one is plugged in.
I have had problems over the last few months with the Windows.Tool malware and have to continually use Malwarebytes as it keeps recurring. I also recently had to run TDSS rootkit removing tool to get rid a a browser redirecting problem that would not go away.

I know this topic is in external hardware and I think the real problem is with my computer but it seemed the best way to explain it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you see the flash drive on device manager and disk management when inserted?

Yes both drives (F and G) show up. I just cant get the U3 launch program to run which would allow me to enter the password to access G drive. As I stated earlier on another computer I can run the U3 launch and open the drive.

I have been there but was reluctant to do the editing but will do so if no other suggestions arise in the next day or so.

Thanks
