Hi.
I know the answer to this log, but I just wanna check how good the experts here are and how do they reply to the logs, reply professionally, thats what I mean.

This user started by complaining of Trojan horse alert from AVG which said it couldn't fix it. The trojan identified was "Downloader.Revop.A". The user thought he had identified and removed the trojan in temp files, but it reappeared. He says it is here: "C:\RESTORE\TEMP\A0030573.CPY" The user then agreed to post this log as had earlier been suggested.

If you want to check how good the experts are here, I would recommend going through the HJT logs forum and judge for yourself. I don't think you are going to find anybody here that is willing to toot their own horn regarding their particular 'expertise'. We are all equal, with our own individual strengths and weaknesses.

One of the characteristics needed for being an expert (your term, not mine) is the ability to research, and logically apply the information presented to them to real world situations. Please don't take this wrong when i say we are all far too busy to provide you with a step by step, just because you want to "test" the members of this board. We have nothing to prove to anyone.

I think what you really want is for one of us to help you so you can present the solution as your own and then take the credit for it. But I'll bite. Here's how this 'expert' would answer that log:

Your version of HJT is out of date. Update, and post a new log.
Update Windows.
Flush your system restore.

EDIT: Also, the report function is for reporting those that are abusing the boards in some manner. You want someone to look at your post? Wait your turn. While you are waiting, I respectfully suggest that you remember we are all volunteers, and that it is rude and insulting to demand anything.

Thanks gruvicious,
I need no credit as I have already past the test form for this. Well, just to pick you up, the date this log was psoted, 1.97 was the latest version of Hijackthis.
Thanks anyway,
But you should have mind answering it as my log, say I was having that problem.

You already have my solution, and you don't need an expert. The 'fix' is trivial.

These are the steps:
Your version of HJT is out of date. Update, and post a new log.
Update Windows.
Flush your system restore.

You have to be kidding me. Let me tell you nothing pisses me off more than this. You have some nerve coming here and posting PLs from another classroom and asking for us to solve them for you.

What is the point of being in these classrooms if you are not going to attempt to clean them on your own? Do you think anyone here, at SWI, or any of the other forums are going to allow you to help their users when you want to cheat on their set forth policies.

What is even more annoying is that everyone here is a volunteer. They all have lives outside of these forums, and for you to come over here and pawn off your PLs on our helpers so that you do not have to do the work disgusts me. Now these helpers have taken their time to help you when other valid and more worthy members are left in the cold with the logs unanswered.

Don't waste these good peoples time. If you know the answer fix it. They are very helpful and giving of thier time and don't need to waste it with games. Just for the record they are very professional and friendly. Pardon the pun bowwow but your barking up the wrong tree.
