I just reinstalled windows XP on my dell desktop. I also reinstalled Office 2007 basic. Now every time I try to open a word document, a screen pops up telling me that it is configuring word. It goes through the whole configuration thing and then opens the document. The problem is that it does this EVERY time I open a document. Same thing with Excel. How do I fix this? Any ideas?
My last bad crash, two months back, this happened to me. Don't bother thanking me for this: the problem went away after about a week, and may have been cured by last-step recoveries including virus and registry scans.
