I have not been able to identify what I'm infected with yet, but I can describe the behavior.
The only site I'm 100% sure is affected is youtube. Browsing to any video in youtube on either firefox or ie causes ads to be injected after the comments section and begin automatically playing. There are always two separate instances of the video ads that are injected and they both start auto playing at the same time. I can sometimes go down and pause them, but then they start right back up again on their own every minute or so.
I've been able to capture some urls relating to the inserted ads:
I'm not sure which ones are legitimate to youtube and which are associated with this infection. Here is the actual injected code:
<div style="padding:10px;" class="__ad" id="__ftYoutube3b"><div style="margin:auto;width:300px;height:250px;z-index:999"><iframe width="300" scrolling="NO" height="250" frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://oadsrv.com/www/delivery/afr.php?zoneid=11&refresh=120&cb=0.9081309862000952"></iframe></div></div>
There was also this bit of code above the insertion which may be normal or not:
<div onmouseout="if (yt.www && yt.www.watch && yt.www.watch.livecomments) yt.www.watch.livecomments.handleCommentMouseEvent(this, event);" onmouseover="if (yt.www && yt.www.watch && yt.www.watch.livecomments) yt.www.watch.livecomments.handleCommentMouseEvent(this, event);" class="comments-section">
Again, I'm not sure what other sites are affected besides youtube, but I can consistently see this behavior in youtube.
Anyone else come across this behavior?
