I am trying to install a Photosuite 4 program. During the install process, the installshield reaches 95% completion and stalls. It will not complete the installation. No messages appear describing any problems, it just stops there. I'm using windows XP home edition on an HP pavioion computer.
When my computer boots, there is a message which pops up on the screen saying the computer can't find Hotres32. Don't know it that has anything to do with the problem or not.
Everything else works fine.

This link discusses the error message you get
http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?mode=hybrid&t=10150
and it seems unrelated to the Photosuite4 installation problem.

Google search indicates that application maybe from one source (MGI) or another (Roxio).
Dependent on it's exact issue date, I guess.

It also appears that the version4 is an older version, perhaps OK in your case,
but then again, perhaps another program might be appropriate, too.

Do you have any other image editing programs?

I think it should be clarified what your intended use of the Photosuite4 is ...

Why it is not installing could be conflicts with other applications,
conflicts with the winXPhome service pack or recent updates/patches,
I'm just not sure.
patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...
