So I'm trying to decide between these to laptops that will be used primarily for MS office, downloading and burning music. I have heard negative things about HP so that makes me apprehensive. Is Toshiba any better?

Between those 2 I would get the toshiba...it has a much faster processor and I tend to like toshiba more than hp I think they are made better....the only thing the hp had over the toshiba was beats audio which is essentially just a sound card put in there but onboard sound should be just fine so I would go toshiba all the way

The Beats audio for the HP sounds really tempting to get with but you would want a laptop that is reliable and that doesn't break down on you. The only good thing about Beats is all of the bass.
