Windows Security Center is not detecting my ESET security produc
Windows Security Center displays incorrect information about my Windows ESET security product
Windows Security Center displays incorrect information about the protection status of ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus

Keep in mind that some anti-virus vendors (to include ESET) allow their programs to manage the Security Center by default so it has complete control in order to prevent conflicts and duplicate warnings. This management action is normally taken during installation and many users are unaware of this fact. During the process the anti-virus will disable certain registry keys related to Windows Security Center.
