Hi,

I live in the UK and I would like to be able to somehow search Google and get the results that I would see if I was in the US, particularly with regards to the Adwords results. I was told that anonymizer software would allow me to do this, but when I tried 'Steganos Internet Anonymizer Pro 6.0.5' it very rarely worked and caused lots of problems with my computer.

Please could someone offer some advice?

Thanks,
Joe

When I search Google.com, I still get the same Google Adwords ads, down the right hand side of the page, as I would on Google.co.uk: targeted at a UK audience. I would like to be able to see Adwords results targeted at a US audience.

Why may I ask do you want adwords from America? If you mean the sponsered links, one shouldn't click on them anyway. They bring in spyware I always thought. So I do not click on them. This link explains Googles geographic targeting. Here .... Please everyone, if I'm incorrect in this assumption of spyware and Sponsered Links. Let me know.

i understand your question and was wondering too.
i get google.ca, even when you type google.com in the address bar.
which then gives me mainly Canadian sites & links.

no idea how to change it?

They target the adds geographically based I believe on your ip address or reverse dns...not really sure.

No the google ads do not install spyware. Scarlett, come now , Do you think I would have them on my site if they did?

There ARE some dubious software that gets advertised sometimes but its not the majority

Call me crazy, but someone a loooooooong time ago told me that some ads are based on your time zone. Being the time frame that it was, it could not possibly be the same...or could it?
