Anytime I go on to google using, FireFox, Chrome, IE, or any other web browser, the website URL gets redirected to a random site. I have found that my computer is much slower too. So I downloaded VIPRERESCUE and ran the deep scan. About 3 minutes in, it found 2 threats and stopped scanning. It showed me the location of the threats so I followed it and deleted one, but the other threat (C:WINDOWS/xxxx.exe) I couldn't find anywhere. I decided to download MBAM from another computer onto a USB and put it on mine. Once installed, 13 secs in the scan, MBAM closed. When I tried to open it again, an error popped up and said that access is denied. However, MBAM is still running (not scanning) but it can't be opened (shown in running processes by the clock).
Now, for the past while it has been saying:
"Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website: 184.108.40.206 Type: outgoing" (some incoming) and each time it is a different IP address.
Also, I tried running VIPRE again after all of this and now it just says:
Copy 32-bit rootkit engine driver to system folder
1 file(s) copied.
Copy 32-bit boot time scanner to system folder
1 file(s) copied
Access is denied.
Do you all have any advice? It would be much appreciated! Thanks.
