Windows root problem

How do I make a copy of file <Windows root>\system 32\hal.dll and reinstall. Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Exactly what is the issue?
In a one liner sentence that you posted I would assume that the error message on startup is something to the extent of hal.dll is missing or corrupt.

Can you confirm that and please provide as much information as possible including the make/model of the system.
In the beginning there was the command line.
