Well, I installed IE9 today and, so far, it's working fine. Websites to which I am a frequent visitor load faster than they did in the past.

I have always kept Google as my browser home page so imagine my surprise when I found (for the first time) an ad in the upper right hand corner that says "Install Google Chrome." The ad has an X to close it but the ad comes back every time I reopen the browser.

Excuse me if this has been discussed here before.

I got annoyed, of course, and googled the topic and found the following site:

Which revealed that complaints about this have been around for 2 1/2 years without resolution.

I tried some of the work arounds suggested there and none of them worked for me.

So, today I announce to the world: KMA GOOGLE. You are gone.

My browser home page is BING and it doesn't nag me.

I am not sure if disabling all google add ons in IE9 will stop this ad from google but its worth trying though.

I have no more Google add ons and BING is doing just fine.

So it's no longer an issue.

Google gone.

Bye bye.

Hasta la vista, baby.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.
