Hi all,

my Internet security suite 6.0 has expired I have purchased ISS 8.0, the problem I am having is that to download the new software they ask me remove 6.0 first. This is where my problem starts, using the Internet Security uninstall wizard I get message that tell me that because of missing components it cannot remove the old software??? So I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, on one hand I have the new 8.0 waiting to be downloaded , but cannot because I cannot remove 6.0. Does anyone out there know how to manually remove 6.0? Sorry this is a long winded post, but having tried Mcafee's help wizard I am still at square one.

Many thanks.

Best thing to do is to post your issue at the McAfee Help Forums. They also have manual uninstall instructions at their Technical Support Site.

It's always a good idea to uninstall any current software before installing new version of the software. Also visit the Windows Update and make sure your version of Windows is up-to-date.
