We have a router and a range extender. When connecting my new computer, the one we bought the range extender for, it asks me if I want to access the internet thru the router or the range extender. I have been choosing the router, but wonder if I should choose the range extender? does it matter?

How many bars show on the AirPort icon when connected with one or the other? I would say whichever provides the better connection is the one you should use.
