Couple weeks ago I visited a site i hadn't been two in about 2 months, and it was gone.. in its place was something completely different. About an hour later I noticed spysheriff had installed itself on my PC. I found bleepingcomputer via google and it helped me clean out spysheriff.

Couple weeks down the road.

Tonight I rebooted my PC, and this um dos lookign window opened, running something, vanished, then I get a prompt wanting me to click yes for Dialerplatform install. It also changed my desktop background to a big warning label.

This is my hijack this log:

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinsSystem] C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\syssmss.exe

Exit HijackThis when done. Reboot into Safe Mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded. Using Windows Explorer, find and delete the following:

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\syssmss.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\s.exe

Exit Explorer and reboot into Normal Mode. Rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here.
