I keep getting the message "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please Contact your System Administrator." when trying to access Mozilla/Google chrome and I have no idea what to do! Anyone know how to solve this?

Are you a limited access user?

Who owns the system?

System manufacturer and model?

Yes, I am logged in as administrator, and there are no other accounts on the computer so I don't know what to do. It only pops up when I try to access the internet. All the sites that I've seen with this problem say to go to Internet Explorer, or that it's an outlook problem, which it's not. I don't use either of them and my Internet Explorer won't start up anyway as it receives the same message. It's a family computer by the way.

Manufacturer: HP Pavilion 061
Model: DY141A-ABU a510.uk

Seems to also be attributed to Google Chrome.

Solved: I realized this problem occurred from a program I downloaded, Romaco Timeout, which allows you to 'block' the computer and internet for a certain length of time and such. The internet block option affected internet access even after I removed the program, so i just e-mailed Romaco from their website and they sent me a repair link. Thanks for your help though. Much appreciated :) :thumbup2:
