Hi guys,

I messed up big time. Somehow I received the "AV Protection Online" virus. It seems very similar to the virus where you would use the RKill solution. I went through the steps using the Rkill method, but the virus is still in my computer.

I went ahead and googled for any known solutions and came upon this website:

http://removevirusguide.com/how-to-uninstall-av-protection-online-malware.html

I followed their directions and downloaded "sdsetup_revwire207" a .exe file. However after installing it (~257mb) in safemode networking and running the program, it said that I had to purchase the software in order to clean up the "AV protection Online" virus. Uh-oh, I think I ended up putting another virus onto my computer and getting tricked by the fraudulent website.

So what can I do to get rid of the virus completely? It hijacks my computer and won't allow me to do anything, exactly like the vundo virus (I think?). Please help asap!

I am using an Intel Core 2 duo Windows Xp sp3. I already have Malwarebytes, Combofix, Spybot search and destroy installed into the computer.
